Course Syllabus

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Students will learn what is involved in maintaining a position in the field of applied politics through field work and self-assessment and reflection.

Course Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:

  1. Assess personal and professional goals in the context of national politics and government;
  2. Identify career goals and incremental experiences to be sought out;
  3. Develop strategies for continuing their education and/or careers in politics and government;
  4. Master the production of appropriate political communication tools including informational interviews, resumes, cover letters, acknowledgement and thank you notes, reference list and talking points.
