Course Syllabus

Throughout this course, students will learn about fun facts and trivia. The course will cover awesome facts and trivia from history, sports, and entertainment. The overall goal of this course is to increase mental acuity.

Attendance and Lateness:

Participation in lectures, discussions, and other activities is an essential part of the instructional process. Students are expected to attend ALL classes; those who are compelled to miss class meetings should inform their instructors of the reasons for absences. Missing more than 1 class, or being late frequently can negatively impact your grade.

Professionalism:

Students will be expected to conduct themselves as professionals in the field of education. As such, students will be expected to:

• attend class punctually
• inform the instructor of lateness or absence due to illness or extenuating circumstances
• be prepared for each class session
• participate in class discussions and activities, including those on Canvas
• refrain from unnecessary technology use that is unrelated to course. Our class is interactive and does not lend itself to multitasking.

Examinations:

A student who must miss an examination should notify the instructor. If the absence is justifiable, the instructor may permit a deferred examination.

Academic Integrity:
