Course Description
The purpose of this online course is to educate students on the events surrounding the causes and the outcome of the Six Day War that tool place June 5-10, 1967 between Israel and Guerrilla groups based in Syria, Lebanon and Jordan.

Learning Outcomes
Students will learn about the Israeli military and its capabilities, an overview of the Guerilla groups that have antagonized the Israeli’s for decades, how geography and resources impact security in the region and the implications for our national security, how and why the United States continues to support Israel as an ally.
State/National/Professional Standards
This course meets Southern Association of Colleges Accreditation (SACS) and is an approved course for online delivery in the Department of History.
Course Material
Students will be provided with weekly handouts and module outlines that will facilitate the weekly online material. Students are expected to download and review before each module begins and take notes during the streaming weekly sessions.

Course Policies
Weekly sessions: Begin at 12:01 am on Monday morning and end at 12:00 am on Sunday night.
Quizzes: Duration: 30min
There will be a total of 2 quizzes on the weekly content. Students will have until 12:00 am to take and submit the weekly quiz for grading.
Research Paper:
The research paper will be submitted during Week 5 of the course. The research paper should be no less than 5 pages and abide by APA standards.
Discussions:
The instructor will post a topic for discussion on Monday each week. Each student should post a response to the instructor’s topic and no less than 3 replies to other student postings during the weekly sessions.
Videos: Viewing the weekly videos will be required and each student will provide an analysis of the weekly viewings and post their analysis/assessment in the discussion posting section. Viewing the video’s will count towards the discussion grade and are mandatory.
Per University policies, plagiarism and cheating of any kind will not be tolerated and students could be dismissed from the University if found in violation of this policy. Students must read, understand and acknowledge the University’s policy on cheating and plagiarism.
