| Course Description |
SOC 230-AA: Sociology of Gender Sociology of Gender examines the changing views of gender in modern society and explores the available research on the social and institutional pressures that shape women and men and their roles in society. This course directly confronts the myths, misconceptions, and stereotypes surrounding marriage, family, crime, and spirituality. This course also includes a cross-cultural perspective on gender. |

| Method of Instruction | Begin each week by reading the week's Start Here information. The week's readings, discussions, assignments, quizzes, and other activities will be detailed in the Start Here section. Each week, you will have a set of required readings that will consist of journal articles, web pages, and chapters from your textbook. I will also provide short videos that explain specific topics for the week. After accessing the weekly videos and readings, complete the week's activities as detailed in the Start Here page. |
