Language Arts

Grade 5

Teacher: Leah Galloway

Objective of course: Students will continue to grow and develop in their understanding of the English Language. Over the course students will be provided with opportunities to improve their reading, writing, representing, viewing, listening and oral skills. Students will learn how language and other media can be used to communicate and persuade others.

 Assignments:

Quizzes: 15% of final mark

Assignments: 60% of final mark. - This includes: written assignments, presentations, videos, audio-creations, etc.

Tests: 20% of final mark

participation: 5% of final mark
