For each example, consider:

(a) which of the motivational factors you might want to focus on first (importance, confidence, or readiness), and 

(b) what might be the first thing you would say to a patient in this situation (a reflection, an open-ended question, etc.). The drop-down choices are not the only possible answers; you might have other ideas that are even better.

Please note that even though only one answer is marked as "correct" for each question, we actually think there are several right answers. (It's a system limitation of our online learning platform that only one can be marked "correct"). After you complete the exercise, you can see our feedback after each item for our thoughts.
