Course Objectives
This boot camp course condenses a typical Security+ course in a 5 day period. In this course we will be covering the necessary information needed to prepare you to take the CompTIA Security+ SY0-301 Certification Exam. It provides an introduction to the fundamentals of network security, including compliance and operational security; threats and vulnerabilities; application, data, and host security; access control and identity management; and cryptography. The course covers new topics in network security as well, including psychological approaches to social engineering attacks, Web application attacks, penetration testing, data loss prevention, cloud computing security, and application programming development security. Because this is a condensed course designed to for 5 day period your success is contingent upon your independent study efforts. It is recommended that you have at least read through the book once or have read through the appropriate chapters before lectures.
