Geometry~ Spring 2017
“Struggling in Mathematics is not the enemy, any more than sweating is the enemy in basketball; it is part of the process, and a clear sign of being in the game…
The opportunity begins when the struggle begins.”

Summative Assessments
At the end of each Focus Topic scholars will take a summative assessment. Scholars will be allowed to retake each summative assessment but before doing so they MUST fill out a slip detailing how they are going to study so that they will be more successful on the new summative assessment, which is all open response. They will also be required to turn in any missing work from that focus topic and correct the original test.
Proficiency:
There will be a proficiency half way through the semester and at the end of the semester. Scholars will be able to retake the mid semester proficiency based on the focus topic that they struggled the most in. Prior to taking retakes on any portion of the proficiency scholars must successfully complete remediation. Scholars will not be able to do retakes on the proficiency at the end of the semester.
Late Work Policy:
All assignments before the midterm will be accepted for full credit until the midterm. All assignment after the midterm and before the final will be accepted until summer break. No assignment will be accepted for any credit after those exams.
