Course Syllabus
Analyzing Literature through Podcasts
This course is designed to allow students the opportunity to create and analyze their own literature through a 6-week podcast producing project. During these 6 weeks, students will be exposed to the different steps in developing and creating podcasts. The first part of the course is designed for students to start exploring the tools needed to record and produce a podcast as well as explore currently published podcasts.
The majority of the course materials are available online, but this class was created with a blended environment in mind. Students will meet with other students and their instructor once weekly for a lab-type work session. This will allow students to ask questions, engage in discussion, and receive helpful tips from an expert in the field.
Objectives:
Students will be able to discuss the nuances and techniques involved in recording, publishing, and critiquing a podcast. Students will record and submit their own podcast at the end of the semester. See rubric attached to assignments for more information.
Important Tips:
Make sure to check the Assignments page for graded assignments. Discussions listed in the modules are ungraded and for informal use only. Late assignments will not be accepted without consent of the instructor.
For those of you using a windows computer here is a great source for learning how to create your podcasts.

This is not a replacement for those of you who use windows, it is a supplement for your videos and assigned readings.
Grading
All assignments are graded in a point system that can add up to 100 points at the end of the course. However, 5 bonus points will be awarded to students who turn work in on time throughout the course.
