Geology of the Central Coast Range and Continental Margin

Welcome to Geology of the Coast Range and Continental Margin of Oregon. In this class we will explore the dynamic western edge of Oregon. We will begin 60 million years ago and move into the present through volcanics, glaciers, landslides and tsunamis. After attending this course you will be able to identify and understand the geological processes that have shaped prominent land forms in the Coast Range and continental margins of Oregon. I hope you enjoy the journey.

 Please start by looking over the syllabus and introducing yourself to the rest of the class. The introduction assignment is worth 5 points. Please include short paragraph the describes your background and what you hope to learn in this class. You will have one week to complete this course. There are 9 modules and 4 assignments. Please pace yourself as there are many concepts covered in this class.
