Module 8 is about learning how to introduce conditional behaviors at decision points into computer programs (e.g. “I will do this, but only if a particular condition holds”) by using If-else statements (green blocks or tiles).

You learn that this allows computer programs to make a decision between two different behaviors, based on the value of a function. You also learn that If-else statements evaluate functions via mathematical expressions or Boolean operators such as True or False, <, ≤,>, ≥, = (equal), and ≠ (not equal).

Define/Explain/Describe If-Else statements or "Conditional Execution" and how they are used in computer programs.
Define/Explain/Describe Boolean expressions and how they are used to evaluate If-Else statements.

Using If/Else statements, you can decide between two different behaviors, based on the value of a function. This is called Conditional Execution since the action(s) are only executed by the program based on evaluation of the condition of the If/Else statement.
Use If/Else statements to evaluate functions via mathematical expressions or Boolean Operators such as True or False or <, <=, >, >=, == (equal), and != (not equal).
