Radcliff, Jan.  "Moab HoDown" 2014. Seasonal Recreational Guide Course. Web  JPEG file

Moab is known as  the Mountain Bike Mecca of the world.  Not just mountain  bikes, but every type of bike imaginable can be seen in Moab.  Entire roadways have been redesigned to accommodate the biking recreational enthusiastic as well the  local riders who opt to be more environmentally conscious. Road ways in Moab are designated with bicycle lanes, and with those lanes comes a whole new set of rules.   It is anticipated that most seasonal recreational guides coming to the Moab area will be involved  with the biking community to some extent - some more than others. The Utah Department of Health website http://www.health.utah.gov/vipp/kids/bicycle-safety/  has put together a list of bicycle rules and safety tips. Or you can look here as well: http://www.choosehealth.utah.gov/documents/pdfs/Utah_Bike_Ped_Guide.pdf

A word of caution.  Not everyone is going to know the rules, nor follow them - just because you may know them. Biking in Moab is no different than driving a car.  You are responsible for your own safety; as well as the safety of others.

Answer the following questions then proceed to the bike trial assignment.
