Getting Started...

Here is a checklist of things you should do to get acquainted with Canvas. In order to keep this page open, click on the blue link while holding the command key (Mac) or the ctrl key (PC) to open the information in a new tab.

Update Your Profile. Click on your name at the top right corner to view your profile. Required: upload your profile picture. Optional: You can also edit your name, title, and bio, along with ways to contact you.
Update Your Notification Preferences. Canvas can send you Notifications about course activities to your email, your phone or even your Facebook account! Read the information found by clicking the link, then go to Settings in the top right corner to customize your Notification preferences. Required: select one contact method under "Ways to Contact" in Settings. Optional: you should also review Notifications to see the frequency of when you will be contacted about various actions in the course.
